Salon founders, Karen and Heath Gayton, were personally trained for 15 years by Karen’s father Danny Pridgen. Danny holds three Olympic titles in the Combined Art of Hair Design received in Tokyo, Japan, British Columbia, and Mexico City. Danny went on to earn more than thirty first place medals in men’s and ladies international competitions using Karen’s mom, Brenda, as his ladies model. Karen and Heath have adopted his personal approach to hair design, and the latest trends from around the world, to continually train the Princeton team. The Gaytons feel truly blessed to have had Karen’s dad’s guidance as the inspiration that has allowed them to create the Princeton commitment!
Early in Karen’s life she knew that her passion was the Business of Beauty. After watching her parents become the best in the world in the Art of hair design, her vision became threefold…implementing perfection in the technical knowledge of hair design, consistency in providing the latest trends for her clients and creating ownership opportunities for the Princeton elite team members. She is proud to have perfected a successful business system. Now, Karen’s vision is proving to be a tremendous success! With the opening of the third Princeton Salon location, her goal of establishing high end salon franchises is quickly becoming a reality!
Where did our name “Princeton” come from? Our first Princeton Salon and Spa was built in Gainesville, GA on the exact piece of property that the Grand “Princeton Hotel” was established and operated, until closing in 1936. In tribute, Our Princeton “P” is an exact replica of the grand hotels intricate lettering.
